He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from the University of West Alabama and a master’s degree in theology from Andersonville Seminary, Camilla, Georgia, attaining cum laude honors. He attended New Orleans Seminary where he studied courses from the MDiv program to intentionally expand his scriptural and doctrinal training.

He also was an international church planter with e3 partners of Dallas, Texas. Davis has led mission trips to 25 countries on five continents. Each mission opportunity mobilized Christians from the United States to partner with IMB personnel and indigenous churches with the goal being to plant new works. The US participants and local believers labored side-by-side to saturate the targeted areas with The Gospel.
Davis participated in a similar work stateside in Indiana by joining the North American Mission Board in their efforts to revitalize and restart struggling or closed churches. The knowledge and experience gained through these special events have proven to be vitally important to his local association responsibilities.
He and his wife, Mitzi, have two grown daughters and two spectacular grandsons.
